The Archive thought the location was at Rosecroft school, as we are sure that is Mr Gratton in the background and Mr Tough is second right, with Mrs Tough with the bouquet on her lap.

Mr Gratton taught me maths at Loftus school. I also have a photo of him when he played for Moorsholm Football team when my Dad Les Jackson played in goal.

Interesting to Google and see the origins and images of Slapstick!! There actually a theatrical prop called a Slapstick which I in my ignorance was completely unaware of.
