Reg Dunning and Frances Ellerker Got Married

Were you there, please let us know. John and Kath Winspear updated with: “Reg and Fran are now living in Sydney, Australia; had two children Andrea and Allison. Reg is in his naval uniform, he served his time at Skinningrove Iron Co as a fitter; then went on to train in the world of computers being one of the first to work at the Fylingdales Early Warning Station on the North Yorkshire moors. He went on to work at Rolls Royce before emigrating to Australia. My wife Kathleen and me kept in touch and spent a wonderful time with them in 2007, they have since visited us here in UK.”

March 1948

Michelle Robinson tells us this happy couple are : ”My dad’s mum and dad; Vera and Herbert Robinson” obviously at their wedding March 27th 1948. The date was written on back of this photograph loaned to us by Michelle Robinson.

Okay I have posted other people on the site now I post myself and some of my family, as the title says in October 1962.

The Entertainer

Wharton Arms Skelton. The entertainer in the middle of the young ladies looks familiar. What was the event, and assistance needed for names and year please. Ann Robinson tell us: ”I think the man in the middle is Donald Peers a singer from the 1950s. I used to play darts in Skippers in the 1960s. My mam was a good friend of Rhoda”.

Bridal Party

Another wedding: Marjorie Foster, Fred Southwick, Syd Cockburn, Joan Waite, Maurice Hill, Barbara Southwick. Ann Jackson tells us: ” I worked with Sydney at North Ormesby Hospital and at Eston when we were both part of the District Nursing Team. A lovely man and a great nurse.Syd died recently and he will be sadly missed.”
