When you\u2019re sinking a shaft, where does the muck go \u2013 to the bottom of course! \u2013 this fixes that problem. The grab was suspended under the staging in the shaft which in turn was suspended on steel ropes from the stage winder. The \u201dcactus grab\u201d was powered with compressed air, operated by\u00a0a man in\u00a0a small cab \u2013 it worked magnificently.
